The Foundation has as one of its core principles, to demonstrate superior practices of financial stewardship and governance, which we interpret to include transparency and compliance. As such, we strive to be a model in the areas of patient and donor privacy and confidentiality, as well as donor and gift stewardship. To guide our efforts, we subscribe to the Donor Bill of Rights set forth by significant philanthropic associations, nationally, and internationally.
We hold donor privacy as a high priority and have a designated a member of our staff to ensure compliance and monitor that all Foundation representatives and associates adhere to HIPAA privacy standards and regulations. In doing so, it is important to note that The Foundation does not sell or trade donor information.
